Provision of bid management, design management and commercial management services for Balfour Beatty Scottish and Southern on this £107m Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) waste management facility. The success of the project was in delivering the project in a truly holistic way including the establishment an exceptional partnership relationship with the client during the dialogue period and in engaging the design team and supply chain to achieve the right balance between design and affordability. During the various procurement stages we utilised our supply chain management skills to drive the CAPEX down by £38m. Financial Close was achieved in May 2012 and a decision to grant planning was made by Essex County Council planners in July 2012. It is scheduled to commence work on site in February 2013.
