The Greenwich Peninsula Hotel is a high quality Hotel which consist of a 3,000sqm ballroom, 659sqm meeting rooms, spa and an executive lounge / sky bar. It is also proposed for an apartment tower to be built next to it on a “la carte” service basis. Roscoe was appointed by the client to carry out a re-engineering optioneering study on the project which resulted in a Capex saving of approx £21mil. During the re-engineering process we increased the building net to gross to 85% on a typical hotel floor adding 2 rooms per level, we revised the frame creating a saving of circa £900K, we investigated the use of packaged plant, improved programme installation and provided 15% saving on plant GIA area requirements.
