As part of the government’s thinking to deal with the withdrawal of the original Government PFI initiative, a new approach to public private partnerships has been introduced in an attempt to modernise the way that the UK’s public infrastructure and services are delivered.

The private finance initiative has been reformed and will now be known as Private Finance 2 (PF2) but will this kick start the construction industry so desperately in need of a boost?
